How bad is cotton candy for me?
Not as bad as you think! Made mostly of air, which gives it such a massive volume, cotton candy usually has about 1 oz. of sugar with only 100 calories and 0 grams of fat.  So don’t feel guilty as you indulge in our soft clouds of fruity flavors.

 

Where did cotton candy come from?
Although cotton candy was first made in the 16th century in a highly expensive and labor intensive production, it wasn’t until 1897 that dentist William Morrison and confectioner John C. Wharton, first discovered how to create the delicious treat using a machine.  It was then introduced at the 1904 World’s Fair as “Fairy Floss” not cotton candy.

What does commercial grade mean?
Commercial grade refers to our cotton candy machines, meaning that they are designed for commercial environments and are exposed to heavy use.  Commercial grade machines are built stronger and more durable than consumer grade machines.

Is National Cotton Candy Day real?
National Cotton Candy Day is an unofficial annual holiday that Americans have fun celebrating because, let’s face it…everyone loves cotton candy!  No one really knows how it started or why it falls on Dec. 7th (the middle of winter) but no matter the case, make sure to eat your fluffy little hearts out.
